Kohan has opened in the old Maxwell Street Market area
(now called University Village Marketplace).
This Japanese steak and sushi eatery features a display kitchen fitted with a teppan grill,
where show-off chefs will whip up your steaks
(think Benihana, though you don't sit around the chef),
and a sushi bar where your designer sushi will be made on the spot.
Owners tell us they're doing "fashion" sushi, and that it will be different than any other
spot in town because they will emphasize maki.
The East-meets-West inspired decor blends of modern and old-school Japan. |
